ON Semiconductor's AR0132AT 1/3-Inch CMOS Digital Image Sensor with 1280H x 960V Effective Pixel Array. It can capture images in linear or HDR mode with rolling shutter readout. It includes a variety of complex camera functions, such as automatic exposure control, windowing, and video and single frame modes. It works well for both low light and high dynamic range scene performance. It is programmable through a simple two-wire serial interface. The AR0132AT produces very clear and sharp digital images and is capable of capturing continuous video and single frame images simultaneously, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as surveillance and high-definition video. Compatible with ON Semiconductor's automotive image coprocessor, the sensor provides megapixel HDR image processing.

The VITA 25K is a 5120 x 5120 CMOS image sensor that delivers high-resolution images at frame rates up to 53 frames per second. High-sensitivity 4.5 µm x 4.5 µm pixels support pipelined and triggered global shutter readout modes, and can also operate in low-noise rolling shutter mode. In rolling shutter mode, the sensor supports correlated double-sampled readout, which reduces noise and improves dynamic range. The sensor has an on-chip programmable gain amplifier and 10-bit A/D converter. The black level of the image can be calibrated automatically or adjusted by adding a user-programmable offset. High programmability using a four-wire serial peripheral interface allows users to read specific regions of interest. Programmable up to 32 zones for higher frame rates. The image data interface consists of 32 LVDS channels. Each channel operates at 620 Mbps. A separate sync channel containing payload information is provided, enabling image reconstruction at the receiver. The VITA 25K is housed in a ceramic 355-pin PGA package and is available in monochrome and color versions.
