The AC540 is an octal buffer/line driver designed for memory and address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented transmitter/receivers. These devices are similar in function to the AC240, while offering a flow-through architecture (input on the opposite end of the output). This pinout makes these devices ideal for use as output ports on microprocessors, allowing for easy layout and greater PC board density.
