The FSL106MR integrates a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller and SenseFET and is specifically designed for high performance off-line Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external parts count. The FSL106MR includes an integrated high voltage power switching regulator combining an avalanche resistant SenseFET with a current mode PWM control. Features of the integrated PWM controller include: undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection, leading edge spacing (LEB), frequency generator for EMI attenuation, optimized gate on/off driver, high temperature shutdown (TSD) protection , a temperature compensated precision current source for loop compensation, and a fault protection circuit. FSL106MR specific good soft start performance. Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller or RCC switching converter solutions, the FSL106MR can reduce overall parts count, design size and weight; while improving energy efficiency, productivity and system reliability. This device provides a basic platform for cost-effective flyback converter designs.
